EZSite Sharing uses Broadcast, a plugin used by Big Tomato Tech to automatically share content by multiposting between websites that are on the same WordPress network, in this case the NAMI EasySite Network.
There are two paths for sharing:
1. If you are a website Administrator with Administrator access to more than one website on the NAMI EasySite network, you can syndicate posts/pages/events and other items in the WordPress ecosystem among related websites in your affiliate group, such as from a NAMI State Affiliate to its local chapters. Read on below for more info on this.
2. If you have Administrator access to only one website, you can still share content by marking that content as 'Pullable', which allows other website administrators in your group to 'Pull' the content to their own website. Please navigate to the following article as the rest of the documentation on this page will not apply: How to Mark Content for Sharing With Other Websites in Your Group
The information below only applies to Website Administrators with Admin access to more than one website:
A few examples are:
- State Affiliates pushing news posts to their Local chapters;
- Local NAMI Affiliates allowing their events to be pulled into their State Affiliate's calendar;
- A useful popup created by a local affiliate can be shared to all affiliates (state and local) within the same group.
- A creative page layout template can be shared and then copied to each site, where it can be updated independently by each affiliate.
- The State Affiliate can share a page that will also update sub sites whenever they update the page; and lock the page so it cannot be updated independently.
Each of these situations has many options for automatic syncing, and protections.
The graphic below shows how a State affiliate's Donate page can be broadcasted and linked for certain sub sites, but not for others.
