Add Navigation Arrow Icon and Match Text Formatting for Sub Page

Modified on Thu, 28 Aug at 8:42 AM

The new NAMI EasySite theme which uses a Visual Page Builder also uses a special menu called the 'Mega Menu', which allows for features such as adding icons to menu links, embedding widgets such as upcoming events into a drop down panel, and using images in place of text. Only three of the menus in your site have these 'Mega' features, generally your Main Menu, the Top Menu, and the Footer Social Icons menu. The instructions below apply only to the Main Menu, which has a drop down 'panel' grid layout.

If your site has a mega menu, you can add arrow icons to indicate sub pages in menus.

In the WordPress dashboard, navigate to Appearance, then Menus. Then, select the menu you wish to edit. The website's primary top menu is the Main Menu (Max Mega Menu Location 1).

To match the rest of the sub page's formatting, you'll want to go into the styling section and scroll down to font weight. This controls how thick the letters appear in the menu. To match the rest of our menu's styling and to make menu text not so bold or thinner, select light (300).

Click the blue Save Menu button when finished.
